Bill Shires

A lifelong Franklin County resident, I attended Ferrum Junior College and East Tennessee State University, graduating with a B.S. Degree in Health Education. I joined Prudential Waterfront Properties in 1995.

I live with my wife, Carolyn in The Boardwalk community on Smith Mountain Lake. During college I worked on the Smith Mountain Dam project, and before that I had floated the Roanoke River from Halesford through the Smith Mountain Gorge. I retired after 27 years in the Environmental Health field with the Commonwealth of Virginia, all spent in this area.   These experiences, along with being a lifelong resident of the area, provide insight and knowledge for my customers.

In 2005 I celebrated 10 years with Prudential Waterfront Properties. For 9 of these years I have been a recipient of the Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors ANNUAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD recognizing sales. Five of these awards were the Diamond award and this is the highest presented in the category. I wish to thank all the wonderful clients I have worked for who have made it so enjoyable achieving this success.
