Development of Smith Mountain Lake's second country club community began in 1986.   The Water's Edge encompasses 712 acres and 13 miles of shoreline.  The master-planned community was named one of the country's top 50 by Luxury Golf Homes Magazine.

The 18-hole, PGA Championship Golf Course was designed by the late R.F. Loving, Jr., ASGC, a nationally renowned golf course architect.  The course was ranked one of Golf Digest's five best new courses in the country.

Amenities include a 28,000 square foot clubhouse with pro shop, fitness center and fine dining, in addition to clay tennis courts, junior Olympic size pool, driving range and equestrian center.  Club membership is available to property owners.
